| The Original Copper Art Sprinkler Kit © by Dream Sprayer has a moderate degree of difficulty, but if you're handy with tools, familiar with soldering of copper tubing, or willing to learn, you can enjoy building your own work of art. | Many of us
like to acquire fine art; this is for the few who want to make it themselves." |
The #4 Deluxe Kit includes: 1). 4 bases, 2 crosses, 4 elbows, 6 bushings. 2). 11" x 17" drawing showing the exploded view and 8.5 x 11" drawing of 12 designs. 3). Full scale spray pattern 12 and 15" hoops. 4). Material list, directions, instructions and the secrets that make the Dream Sprayer unique. |
| The minimum
tools you'll need are
a propane utility torch, a drill motor & drill bit, hack saw, wire
brush, sanding cloth, solder, and flux. The copper for the stem comes in ten foot lengths, so since you have to buy enough for 4 stems, the Kit is designed to make 4 sprinklers. Send me an email to ask a question. |

The Material List saves you many hours searching for the other parts you need. Besides the Kit, you only have to buy copper fittings, rigid and soft copper, female hose swivel with rubber washer (part #'s included), and copper or brass for your design inside the hoop. These parts cost approx. $7.50 per sprinkler. The step by step instructions are fully illustrated and easy to follow. |
| Because making
good 3-prong Bases can be so time consuming,
we now include 4 Bases in each Kit, so it's easier yet to make high
quality heirloom
sprinklers. ORDER Tel: 715-758-6557 |
"Your bushings,
drawings and instructions are as much a work of art as your website.
You're the best." Gloria L. Sheboygan WI |
Our
bushings are designed to fit an upright stem of Type L copper, which is
thicker and stronger than Type M. The upright stem gets a lot of
pressure, especially when stepping on the base to push it into the
ground. Buy only the best. |

| Have
a broken copper sprinkler in need of repair? We've never had a Dream
Sprayer fail, and we don't repair competitors broken sprinklers. If
your broken sprinkler is made with 1/2" dia copper, the Dream Sprayer
bushing should work. You can buy the Kit, repair your sprinkler, plus
make 3 more. We don't sell individual bushings/swivels except to our
Kit customers. To show all the broken sprinklers we've been asked to
repair would take another website the size of this one. Here's some
requests typical of the problems with the 'other' sprinkler swivels; |
| Hello
- Several years ago we purchased a copper sprinkler (similar design to
"Many Moons"). Company has disappeared. Our sprinkler is in need of
repair. Connections are leaking. Do you do repairs? Do you know
anyone who does? Julia S. ------------------------------ Dear Dream Sprayer, My mother asked me to repair her copper sprinkler that she is very fond of. I quickly realized the bushing is of very poor quality. I think that if I could purchase one of your kits I could put humpty dumpty back together for her. I could not find anywhere on your site to buy just one swivel. Thanks, Joe G ------------------------------ ------------------------------ I'm looking for the spinner part for a copper sprinkler since my wife's seized up. The sprinkler looks like this: The tubing is 1/2 inch all around and as you can hopefully see, the old spinner had four outlet ports all in the same plane. Would you happen to have a spinner that would work? If not, any ideas where I could look. Thanks. Kent F ------------------------------ Hi - Did you sell a counter-rotating copper art sprayer through Costco a few years ago? We have one and the nylon bushing is broken. It has an outer rotating copper tube ring, an inner counter-rotating wavy or lobed tube ring and a 1/8" copper tube center post with six copper leaves on it. It is a beautiful piece of art but I don't know where to find parts or who made it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Rich S ------------------------------ Not
sure who the manufacture of my sprinkler is, but there is a clear
plastic sun in the middle of a circle, and it spins around. Here is a
pic of it. The attachment of it to the stem has come apart. Do you
provide repairs to this type of copper sprinkler? Robert V------------------------------ Extra Parts Needed by Frustrated Sprinkler Owner: Over the years I have purchased several rotating copper sprinklers (some by local artisans, others commercially made). My frustration results from the fact that the bearings inevitably fail and all I have is a bunch of (non-functioning) garden ornaments. The other day I noticed my friend had a copper sprinkler and (always interested in any copper sprinkler that still works) I examined it. It was of very simple construction (no o-rings or fancy plastic seals that eventually wear out); apparently it seals fairly well and the water acts as a lubricant. He got it at some fair a few years ago and says that it works fine (O fortunate gardener!) but, of course, he has no idea of the name of the source. Can you suggest a place where I might purchase this bearing? Any relief which you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance, I remain, Yours very much in need of assistance, Andrew W. ...................................... Andrew - what you describe sounds like a Dream Sprayer bushing, but extra bushings are only available to Kit customers. We've been making sprinklers since 1999 with no failures. We've seen many attempts, including swaged copper, o-rings, air tool fittings (steel rusts) and plastic washers. There's many complex designs for the bushing, from injection molded nylon, to force fit rubber retainers. Read what others say: I have to admit, I could find no subsitute for your swivel. I was impressed to see your use of the KISS concept. The Dream Sprayer Kit is GUARANTEED to satisfy. |

| Artists sell far more
sprinklers at the local arts
and crafts festivals, shows, and fairs than
they ever do online. If you're looking for a craft or hobby that
you can make some extra income with, you've found it. Local copper
sprinkler artists always sell out at the arts and crafts shows. That's
because buyers want something unique made by friends and local artists! |
| "I ordered a kit from you a
few months ago and have just got around to building my first sprinkler
as a Christmas gift and I have to say that I was very excited about how
it turned out. I built one similar to the "Paradox" and couldn't
believe I actually got it to work. I would like to build a few more for
some friends, and need some more parts." Doug H. New

| "Jon, thanks for the tip, I'll
try it. Your kit saved me hours of design, thanks. I enjoy surfing your
website, and admire your open philosophy towards artists. I'll send you some pictures of the sprinklers. They make great gifts, and YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHOP." Jim C. Chicago IL |
| "Dear Jon, Thanks for the
info. What a help. I've tried everything from using the automotive
parts called for in a book on
making sprinklers, to having a tool &
die guy make the bushings but I find myself back on your website buying
more from you. Your bushings come complete and I don't have to worry
about anything not fitting. The directions with the first kit were
complete and I found everything I needed the first time. Thanks for all
the tips." Julia L. Wixom MI |
"My
wife's side of the family decided to build Christmas gifts this year,
instead of buying. It was interesting, challenging and quite a learning
experience. Thought it was going to be easy to build. The hardest part
was the design. I wanted something special for my niece. The ball in
the middle I found at the local scrap yard, and the fittings at a local
wholesaler. The outside oval turns clockwise, and the inside oval CCW.
I used emery cloth and small files to clean it up. It turned out nice
and my niece loved it." Rich V. Sandusky OH |
| The most frequently asked question is how do I
make the hoop? The 1/2" soft copper tubing already comes in a roll.
Just shape it around something round like a 5 gallon pail. Cut it to
the desired length. Grab the ends of the hoop like the horns of a bull,
with the horns up. Push down both horns until you get them to be across
from each other. It's made into an oval, but you can slide the tee
right on to both ends. Now solder it together. When it's cool, make the
oval shape back into a circle using your original form as a guide, or
sculpt your design free-hand. Jon's method is shown to Subscribers,
or
look on the Artists
page and see what Jason used - an old movie projector reel! |
| "I use MAPP gas for most
works,
it comes in a small bottle like propane, burns much hotter and takes
less than half the time to make the joint. The MAPP gas does cost a
little more than propane, but it will go three to four times farther
and in less than half the time." Garden Designs By

| "Many Thanks for your prompt
attention and service, you truly are a model of good customer service." Neva G. Lake Forest IL "This is just perfect and really looks great. What an artisan you are. I appreciate your attention and promptness." Thank you!!! Kathy R. Waukesha WI |
"Here's a tree
stand I use for
a hoop bender. I found it on sale for 79 cents after Christmas. The
base is twenty inches in diameter. I've only used the top three green
steps, and they bend hoops at 12, 14, and 16 inches in inner diameter.
I also do not unbend my copper. I've written the measurement of each
hoop on the stand, and I measure with a flexible quilting tape (walmart
$2.17). I think my hoops show less wear that way. I just cut off the
roll and it's already a hoop." Joaquin M. Ocean

| "I sure wish I would have
known about your web site a year ago. I saw a copper sprinkler in a
store but could not justify paying the high price for something that
was made by a machine. I set out to make them on my own. It only took
me a year and a lot of running around to finally figure out how to do
it. If I'd only known then.... Anyway, thanks for the ideas and I hope
to be able to share some of mine with you!" Kraig M.

you Jon, you are in a league of your own!" Vicky O.

![]() Was
a rained out weekend, so I was looking around the cellar for something
to do and found some extra copper. So I came up with Spike, he's my
latest sprinkler. Beginning of last summer I was on your site and saw
the trellises, I really liked them and made one for our house. Notice
the witches ball? Moved it from the original sprinkler I made... have
to come up with some other idea for that one... next rainy weekend. Tim
