Hand Blown Glass Witch Ball Ornaments

For many years this was the largest collection of witch balls on the web. This started when a copper sprinkler artist made some witch ball sprinklers. They created so much interest, a glass blower friend from Cape Cod, MA offered his hand blown glass art to collectors here too. Then a seemingly unrelated event occured. A rock band caused a fire at a nightclub in Rhode Island Feb. 20, 2003 that killed 100 people and injured more than 200 others. Shortly thereafter, 90 miles away, the local fire marshall showed up at this studio's door, and presumably many other doors. They wanted the glass blower's furnace to be equipped with sprinklers, a direct connection to the fire department, and 2 layers of drywall throughout the building. Never mind that the studio had been operating without an incident for over 50 years. Suddenly every fire dept with in hundreds of miles got religion, maybe rightly so. But it was all too much for him, and he went out of business.

These are suitable to hang outside, or make a Chandelier.
