| Discovery! To give birth to an
idea, to discover a great thought - an
intellectual nugget, right under the dust of a field that many a
brain-plough had gone over before... To be first - that is the idea."
Mark Twain The Innocents Abroad 1869 We invite all sprinkler artists to join our community and display their work. Send us your pictures or website links. Freight on sprinklers can be substantial, so support your local artists, and save the shipping too. |

"Here's a picture of my second sprinkler done with a blue green patina, badly balanced but makes good yard art. I call it Warped, you would have to see it operate to understand. I haven't got the loop balanced very well. Too late now, the patina and details are on. The next one I'm gonna fit back over the form and apply pressure on the tee fitting until everything balances out, hindsight being 20/20." Keith P. Knoxville, TN |

I got to work bright
and
chipper this morning. The bushings go in very easily. Please find
enclosed a rather mundane second "effort," though THIS one
is coming together swimmingly. ![]() ![]() Now I'm to the "Hard Stuff," the decorating and drilling. Thanks again for all your help! It REALLY does help to practice! I've been trying to bend and join pieces whilst I awaited delivery. |

I swear
I never believed it would actually turn! I'm calling it
the "Wacky Dolphins
over the Moon" hehehe

"To make the bend you
need 2 end caps, a pipe, and about 5 handfuls of dry sand. Make sure
the pipe is tamped full by tamping on floor, and then add a lot of
heat. And when you start the bend you can't stop, or you can kiss the
tubing goodbye." Richard W. Massilion OH |

made. The swirls inside are Celtic design by my daughter. It works
great and my wife will be ultra pleased with her new gift. Feel free to

called the "illusion" sprinkler "impossible", and told how to make
it. "I completed six sprinklers for the Butterfly House Fall Festival, and have parts of two more which will be completed onsite at our "workshop booth" by apprentices who have volunteered to help this weekend. I am attaching some pictures of the three sprinklers which you have not yet seen." |

"The butterfly contains two of your bushings, and the inner section spins in the opposite direction of the outer octagon part. If you look carefully at the bottom fitting of the inner diamond you can see the 90 degree wye that I told you about." |

A small bicycle wheel minus the tube would also work but may be a bit large. Perhaps the picture will inspire other artists!" Judy T. San Marcos TX |
