“Play, laugh, and sprinkle happiness wherever you go.”
This Merry-Go-Round sprinkler was commissioned for a YWCA camp, and depicts four young children--each in a comical pose--spinning around on a child-size merry-go-round. A copper pennant flies from the flag pole rising from the center of the 5-foot diameter sculpture. The 'children', who resemble stick figures, are made from ½ inch copper pipe. Each child has a face made with copper wire and a distinctive personality.
The entire merry-go-round spins as water pressure from a typical garden hose courses through the tubing.
The Merry-Go-Round sprinkles an area about 30 feet in diameter in the Rock Garden.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Charlie Santoro, lives with his wife, son and daughter in Port Chester, NY, where he creates functional art from copper. His practical, and often whimsical designs, delight the senses. Decorative sprinklers, wind-chimes, outdoor wall sconces, garden sculptures, fountains, trellises, and garden gates, as well as indoor designs and desk accessories, are worked in gleaming copper. He makes pieces to enhance any home, office, garden, yard or patio. Charlie now sells his artistic productions through local garden centers, as well as at this site. “The Merry-Go-Round” is Charlie’s most ambitious project yet. While most of his work is in limited edition, his favorite projects are creating custom pieces in all price ranges. He welcomes inquiries.
